Mt. Rose- Ski Tahoe 09/10 Special Events
Elvis Day, Slide Back and the New Santa Ski Crawl are happening this season!

Reno, NV- Mt. Rose is known for its infamous Elvis Days and Slide Back Retro Ski Parties. Check out the Mt. Rose special events planned for the 09/10 season:

Santa Ski Crawl – Dec 12th
The Reno Beer Crawl comes to Mt. Rose! Ski in a Santa suit and pay only $39 for a lift ticket (Elves, Mrs. Clauses are welcome too)

Elvis Day- Saturday, Jan. 9th
Our tribute to the birth of "The King" is second to none as the slopes of Mt. Rose become a sea of Elvi. Chances are Elvis will issue your lift ticket, fit your skis and even teach your lesson. Elvis Day is the Saturday closest to the King's official birthday.

Slide Back- Saturday, February 6th
If you still think that “New School” equates to stretch pants that leave nothing to the imagination, rear-entry boots and old skinny skis, then you’ll fit right in at Mt. Rose’s Slide Back Retro Ski Party. Break all of the ski fashion laws on this one-day only event– at the always-chic (and newly built) Slide Lodge at the bottom of Slide Bowl. Slide Back Fashion Contest: Sport your finest Day Glow Stretch Pants to win up to $500 in modern gear from Village Ski Loft.

Chute Out – Feb 20th
“Best Line” Competition in the infamous CHUTES of Mt. Rose – Details TBD

Be a Champion Ski Race & Party- Tuesday, March 9th
Public Races (format is best combined time)
Cost: FREE with valid lift ticket or Value Pass
Slalom Course: Two runs, best combined time

Dummy Downhill- Saturday, March 20
Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe opens the gate to high-flying speed demons of every shape and size, with ONE CATCH- NO live pulse can accompany any entry. Witness pure lunacy as dummies compete for the best run down Show-Off, directly in front of the Mt. Rose main lodge. Don't miss the fun!

April brings some of Tahoe’s best spring skiing to Mt. Rose. Planned events include a Snow-Kayak Fest along with a Beach Party and Pond Skimming. Dates TBA.


All events are subject to change and more may be added throughout the season. The New Slide Lodge will open in the winter 09/10 season, featuring new dining options and panoramic views of Washoe Valley. Book your wedding, event or meeting at the New Slide Lodge!
