Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe Wins a NACE Award
Mt. Rose Sunshine Takes the NACE

Reno, NV - Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe just recently took home a National Association of Catering Executives award at the Reno-Tahoe NACE Tabletop & Confectioners Competition held in the Reno Ballroom March 30th. Mt. Rose won 1st place in the under $500 Day Category with the theme "Mt. Rose Sunshine".

The Mt. Rose table featured a modern standard house set as the base of the design. Bengaline Moire Platinum Floor length linens (featuring an exclusive texture considered to be an upscale linen) paired the square table, unique modern chairs, square china and flatware.

Mt. Rose has created a standard setup for events that is contemporary and stylish- matching the construction of the new Winters Creek Lodge that opened December 2009. The Winters Creek Lodge offers expansive panoramic views of Washoe Valley in a private setting, located on the Slide side of Mt. Rose - Ski Tahoe.

Green Apple Events Owner Alicia Brown said, "It was easy to create a winning design when we had a base that was already beautiful. We just added some color to personalize the table, which is the same thing brides could do. Just imagine this table in the Winters Creek Lodge with a wall of windows and amazing valley views."

This was the second Tabletop Competition held by NACE open to local planners and designers. This competition has contributed growth to local event professionals and allowed NACE to make a cash donation to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada providing roughly 5,500 meals to the community.

The Winters Creek Lodge at Mt. Rose is available for summer events.
