Competition Team


The Competition Team is designed to blend race and technical skiing skills with an emphasis on fun. Gate training focused on Slalom and Giant Slalom courses along with an introduction to speed skiing technique. This group will race in the USSA Race Series with opportunities to move to a higher level. This program gives excellent value to athletes focusing on high school racing.

Training starts in Nov.

Program Includes:
- Unlimited Mt. Rose Season Pass
- Weekend training with coach (Sat & Sun) for program duration (see Calendar)
- Holiday training
- Early load speed and gate training

Calendar:
J 1/2/3 Program starts weekend of Nov. 6th. J 4/5 starts Nov. 20 and finishes at the Far West Championships (early to mid April)

Schedule:
8:30 – 11:30 On Mountain
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch (unsupervised)
12:30 – 3:30 On Mountain

Uniforms: $150 shell jacket required- click here to purchase through NYSEF.

Helmets:
Helmets are required during training, competitions, and when skiing in uniform (not included).

The Competition Team Advanced Training Program mixes technical skiing skills with an emphasis on fun with gate training focused on Slalom and Giant Slalom courses. Speed events are also included in the training program. Racing will primarily be in USSA and FIS level events for development purposes.
